On Saturday October third, the University of Dallas programming team UD1 (aka Galadriel) set a new school record by solving 5 problems in one competition. The team was comprised of senior Paul Seitz and juniors Katherine Beine and Brian McCutchon, all veterans of the UD programming contest club. From the comfort of the UD Computer Lab at 11 am on Saturday, the trio was able to compete in the North American Qualifier hosted online. Five hours and two pizzas later, they had established 5 problems in a single competition as the new UD record to beat. If you are interested in joining the programming team or learning what it is all about, please come to one of our weekly meetings on Tuesday nights at 7:30 in the computer lab (HSC 24).
I do not know much about this, but if actual hacking is your thing, you might want to check out this competition:
Here is a coding contest that Pearson is running.
It is also your chance to improve eCollege, and
perhaps put in some easter eggs. (Which is wrong,
and we would disapprove of that.)
Deadline Extended. Probably because they have so few applicants!
